Step 2 - One of our licensed agents provides a complimentary insurance consultation
Step 3 - We make a $10 donation to one of our nonprofit partners
Charities we're supporting in 2021
- Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence
- Seattle Children's Hospital
- Spokane Humane Society
- Toys for Tots
Q1 - Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence
This cause was chosen by our Marketing Director, Mary Wilson. Having had friends that experienced this firsthand, we wanted to give as an organization to this cause. Domestic violence is a leading cause of homelessness for women and children. With the current pandemic, this situation has been made worse. And, because of social distancing requirements the state has lost shelter capacity.
Donations help WSCADV:
Advocate for better laws to uphold safety, dignity and economic stability of abuse survivors and their children
Support their statewide violence prevention program called Team Up Washington, using youth sports as a platform to prevent dating violence and sexual assault
Provide financial assistance to allow families to stay in their own home and avoid homelessness
Q2 - Seattle Children's Hospital
Seattle Children's was highly rated by our employees across the board for the good they do in the community. Some of our agents have first-hand experience with them, including helping relatives with disabilities. It's hard to overestimate the good that this organization does in our region.
Donations help Seattle Children's:
Improve treatments for more than 200 diseases and conditions
Support advance planning and coordinate actions for potential COVID-19 surges in the region
Help families that could not otherwise afford care
Q3 - Spokane Humane Society
We wanted to try and cover the different areas we serve in Washington so the Spokane Humane Society was an easy choice. Our agents overwhelmingly wanted us to support a local humane society so we decided to cover the Eastern part of the state since we were working on Seattle Children's in Q2. This organization is committed to never euthanizing animals due to lack of space. They also educate their local communities on the benefits of their spay and neuter programs.
Donations help the Humane Society:
Adopt out animals in need
Conduct their spay and neuter program to help control the animal population
Support volunteer and fundraising efforts
Q4 - Toys for Tots
This organization has been near and dear to our owner's heart for many years now. We like to donate to them during the holidays to help them collect and distribute toys to less fortunate children. Especially during the pandemic, this can bring joy to children who may not otherwise have had gifts for the holidays.
Donations help Toys for Tots:
Collect and distribute toys to those in need
Support local coordinators that help run the operation
Educational programs to help support the Toys for Tots mission
